On May 25, 2019, an art workshop and beach cleanup initiative was held at beaches along the coast of Northwest Iceland. The project was a collaboration of the Icelandic Textile Center and BioPol in Skagaströnd and funded by Uppbyggingarsjóður NV and the Icelandic Ministry of the Environment.

In May 2019, the Fabricademy Textile Bootcamp was held in Iceland.

The annual Nordic Textile Meeting was held in Iceland from March 28 to April 1st, 2019. As part of the program, workshops were held at the Textile Center in Blönduós.

Every year, graduate students from the Icelandic University of the Arts visit the Icelandic Textile Center.
