Vatnsdæla á Refli is a 46-meter-long tapestry, collaboratively embroidered to depict The Saga of the People of Vatnsdalur. The project was initiated by a local handcraft teacher, sheepfarmer and wool expert, Jóhanna Pálmadóttir, in 2011 and completed in 2024, using traditional sewing and embroidery techniques throughout. Please note that the tapestry is no longer housed in Kvennaskólinn and will be displayed at a new location in Blönduós in the near future.
