These terms and conditions apply to the purchase of a product or service on textilmidstod.is, the website of the Icelandic Textile Center, kt. 460712-0410, and the Icelandic Textile Center residency, kt. 680405-1150, located on Árbraut 31, 540 Blönduós, Iceland. We are a non-profit institution promoting Icelandic and international textiles, facilitating research, education, and innovation in the field of textiles, cultural heritage, textile art and design.
These terms define the rights and obligations of the Icelandic Textile Center on the one hand and the buyer of the product on the other.
Payment
With payment, the buyer confirms that he knows the current terms of the Icelandic Textile Center. Each purchase is binding on buyers according to the terms and conditions of the Icelandic Textile Center. We use the services of Borgun for online payment with a credit card. See which credit cards Borgun accepts here. When the buyer confirms the purchase on textilmidstod.is, authorization is obtained for the relevant amount. Borgun is an ISO / IEC 27001 certified Icelandic company and PCI SSC Participating Organization complying with international standards on information security.
Delivery
Confirmation of payment for goods and services purchased on www.textilmidstod.is and tickets are send per email.
Cancellation and refund policy
We will refund tickets to the Iceland Knit Fest until 4 weeks before the festival. If a workshop or event is canceled, the owners of the tickets are offered a refund or a place in a different workshop instead. If a purchased ticket is forwarded with a financial profit for someone other than a party directly related to the event, textilmidstod.is reserves the right to invalidate the ticket. We do not accept responsibility for any inconvenience that may result from lost or false tickets. The date and timing of events may change.
Data protection
When purchasing a product or service, the buyer gives consent to collect and process personal information on Textile Center's database. The processing of all personal data is in accordance with Act no. 77/2000 on Privacy Legislation in Iceland. Personal information is stored in the textilmidstod.is database. Only the owners and managers of the site have access to them, and outside of what is required to establish transactions between vendors and customers of the site, they are never provided to third parties. All processing of credit card numbers on textilmidstod.is is encrypted and this information passes through Borgun's home directory.
