"Handens abstraction" - lunch lecture with Petter Hellsing

This upcoming Monday (27.10.), we would like to invite you to Petter Hellsing's lecture "Handens abstraction" on the role of textiles in our private sphere and its narrative qualities.
Petter (www.petterhellsing.se) is one of our scholarship recipients supported by the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme, and has been staying at the residency since September.
In a number of exhibitions and public works in his native Sweden and all around the world, he has explored the relationship between manual work and digital technology, and the possibilities of artistic work to collect and pass on stories.
The lecture will be held during lunchtime (12:00 - 13:00) in Kvennaskólinn. Soup and coffee is on the house, everyone welcome!
