Nordic Textile Meeting

The annual Nordic Textile Meeting was held in Iceland from March 28 to April 1st, 2019, under the title "Heritage meets the future".
The meeting occurred at the same time as DesignMarch, the annual design festival held in Reykjavík. Following the meeting in Reykjavík, the 42 participants visited and explored other places in Iceland, such as a textile mini mill and Þingborg in the south of Iceland. On April 1st, a weaving and embroidery workshop taught by Ragnheiður B. Jónsdóttir and Jóhanna E. Pálmadóttir was held at the Icelandic Textile Center in Blönduós.
The meeting was open for members of Nordic Textile Art only (textile artists can join anytime). Find more information on Nordic Textile Art on their website www.nordictextileart.net
